This sideboard is a custom made reproduction of a piece at Mount Vernon and was made by the Potthast Bros. of Baltimore MD in 1892. It was given to the state by Governor Elbert N. Carvel. It is made of mahogany in the Hepplewhite style and has two oval mounts in the center of each drawer with an embossed design of a spread eagle and 13 stars.
